I’m so happy. I had one of my articles, “7 Steps to Better MPG” published on the Pet Lizards and Reptiles blog!
Of course I have no idea why they publish an article about saving fuel when the blog apparently is about lizards. Fossil fuel? Fuel is made of old lizards, right? Anyway I like it (and here’s the article about saving gas)
More like this and I’ll be published all over the web…
I’m excited to note that Invision Graphics have published one of Aarons articles, the one about the Google Speed Penalty, on their blog.
So far the Speed Penalty article have been picked up by a number of publishers including Site Pro News. This just shows how important it is to select a good topic for your article before even starting to write. A newsworthy, and even a bit controversial, article has a lot better chance of being picked up than a great article on a general topic.
Article marketing is one of the oldest and most effective ways to SEO your website. If done right using quality articles it’s a way to SEO that is unlikely to ever be penalized by Google. And the best thing is, once your article is in distribution you will continue to get new links as new publishers pick up your work.
I just created a profile for Aaron at ArticleSnatch.com to give him an additional place to publish his writing on search technology. Here’s Aarons profile and the first article he submitted about the Google speed penalty and how to avoid getting lower rankings due to a slow loading website.
ArticleSnatch is one of the bigger directories with a whopping 577,000 pages indexed by old Google. That’s not bad for an article directory. Especially since the interface doesn’t look too good 
I just hate that they nofollow our links. If we give them an article they should have the courtesy of giving us a real links back!
Let’s hope at least some new editors pick up Aarons articles from ArticleSnatch
Look, Aaron has made a profile on ArticleDashboard.com for distributing his articles on search technology. Aaron Steinheinkel is our virtual lab scientist over at Secret Search Engine Labs and is a name we use when distributing content that I didn’t write myself.
I don’t have the time to write about every topic myself so we sometimes hire ghostwriters to do articles on hot topics, like the Google Speed Penalty, the first article distributed by Aaron.
The profile Aaron has on Article Dashboard will contain all articles by Aaron much like the other profiles he will have on the major article directories.
ArticleDashboard.com is a fairly simplistic looking article directory but with a total of 56,700 pages indexed by Google (use site: to check) it definitely carries some link weight.
Just got the news: Two of my sites have been accepted into the Adda4u.com free web directory.
Here’s the info:
My site: Laundry Care Symbols was accepted into the Business category (just click that link to see the details page). The business category is a huge unsorted stack of sites with a total of 3584 sites listed right now… so I’m not expecting to get visibility from the business section any time soon.
Secret Search Engine Labs was accepted into the … hmm takes a long time to search on this site… still waiting to find my site so I can see the category…. now I got a blank white screen, lets try again…
So the whole site is down now and I’ll just have to try again later, I’ll update the post with the link to our Secret Search listing when they get back up.
UPDATE! We now have access again and Secret Search Engine Labs have been verified to be included in Adda4u, a free web directory with a lot of links.
You can also find The Lab through a search for the obscure term proprietary spider (because it wouldn’t show up for search engine or even Secret Search Engine Labs) and I just wanted to show you WE ARE in the search results
So adda4u is a free directory, it accepts a lot of submission, at least if you look at the 51678 active links they brag about in the right column.
If I recall it correctly we submitted about a month ago so the turnaround time is not that bad but the categories are pretty crowded so don’t expect to get an indexed link from a category.
Finally got a site listed in Emkay Sports SEO friendly directory. Actually I have no idea if they are big, popular or just an empty site in the desert.
Anyway Laundry Care Symbols is listed in the Accounting category (why accounting??) and it also have the must have details page, Laundry Symbols, with Title and Description but no hit counter this time.
Emkay Sports is a free directory and we got the site in though a submission service (that totally destroyed the title)
Laundry Care Symbols have been approved into Explore Thailand Online Directory in the Business and Economy category. Thank You!
My Laundry blog even has it’s own details page Laundry Care Symbols and you can find it in the directory by doing a search for “Laundry”
Explore Thailand Online seems to be a local Thai business directory and I have no idea why my blog was submitted there or why it was eventually approved.
Would have expected that they require the business to be in Thailand or at least about a Thai topic to be included.
Anyway that was another free listing on the road to dominating the Laundry niche… and there’s more to come!
Got one of my articles featured on Bing Fan Blog. Hurraaay!
Bing Fan Blog is (surprise) a blog about the search engine Bing and now they had the kindness to publish my article “Search Engines in 2010″ I like that.
Getting the word out about Secret Search Engine Labs, my “home made” search engine is one of the biggest marketing tasks I’m facing and every step is a step in the right direction.
Now lets hope more bloggers and search sites pick up the story.
After some hesitation Laundry Care Symbols was approved into the Atlantis Web Directory in the business blogs section (why did they submit to business blogs??) it even has it’s own details page like the rest of the PHP Link Directory creations.

Why is that? Why is it unusual?
Because searching for my link does return the link but no information on which category it’s listed in…
And there’s no details page… no visible hit counter…
Only way to see my link is by doing a search for laundry care symbols which surprisingly don’t return any other results.
The directory I’m talking about is counterdeal Web Directory, a place I found though one of the submit your site to 1000 free directory services
Lets hope I get some value for the time spent submitting
